Do you need a Resource Consent?

Check with us first. We can review planning factors for the site and proposal, then suggest options to consider for moving forward with or without the requirement for a Resource Consent.

If a Resource Consent is needed, our focus is on delivering robust consent applications, then guiding them through the often complex Council process on behalf of clients.

Part of that is our preparation of a comprehensive Assessment of Environmental Effects document, an essential component to your Consent application.

In addition, depending on the nature of the project, proposals in the Gulf Islands can trigger specialised information requirements beyond standard design details, including (for example) wastewater, geotechnical, landscape architecture, traffic, ecological reporting, etc.

Isle Land Limited is familiar with the circumstances where such input may be required by Council, and can give you an assessment of the level of analysis and investment you may need.

If necessary we can also suggest worthwhile options for designers, engineers and other specialists we regularly work in with, who offer the appropriate background expertise for your project.

We then liaise with the various specialists to gather and finalise their input and allow your Consent application to be as complete as possible.

Once a Resource Consent application is lodged, we work with Council and specialists to progress the application to a successful outcome.

In addition, we also offer the following services:
